The bowl that took over everyone's feed, then took over their weeknights. Sticky beef, cold cucumber, hot rice, and a drizzle that does the heavy lifting. One pan, no leftovers.
15 minutes. Serves 2.
Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 3 dessertspoons Plateit Hot Honey Drizzle
- 2 tbsp soy or tamari
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 2cm ginger, grated
- 2 bowls cooked rice
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- Spring onion and sesame to serve
Method
- Get a dry pan properly hot. Fry the mince hard until browned and crisp at the edges, about 6 mins.
- Add garlic and ginger. Cook 1 min until it smells like dinner.
- Off the heat, stir through soy and 2 dessertspoons of the hot honey.
- Pile over rice with cucumber. Drizzle the last of the hot honey. Sesame and spring onion on top.
Tip: Get the pan hot before the mince goes in. You want crisp edges, not a stew.
